What
does the Bible say about remarriage?
This is an email
we received asking an excellent question about remarriage after
divorce.
Dear MTA:
I have to disagree
with something on your website. I am a man whose wife left him 12
years ago. She was obviously unfaithful as she has two children
with the man she is with now.
You say divorce
is an option in my case, but me remarrying is not.
My concordance
states that many, including yourselves, get confused with this scripture.
You read the "...except for marital unfaithfulness..."
to apply only to the divorce part. However, the concordance states
that it can be applied to the whole verse. In other words, the verse
could read, "I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife and
marries another woman commits adultery, except for marital unfaithfulness."
I have never remarried,
and I have prayed faithfully and have no doubt my God will show
me my bride.
Please consider
my comments.
Thank you.
