Is Jesus God?
What does the Bible say?
"...looking
for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great
God and Savior, Jesus Christ."
- Titus 2:12 (NASB)
God
(The Father) says the Jesus is God:
"But
of the Son [Jesus] He says, 'YOUR THRONE, OH GOD, IS FOREVER AND
EVER.'"
- Hebrews 1:7 (NASB)
Jesus
is our creator and God:
"For
by Him [Jesus] all things were created, both in the heavens and
on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or
rulers or authorities--all things have been created through Him
[Jesus] and for Him." -
Colossians 1:16 (NASB)
The Bible clearly says that Jesus is God.
Read Titus 2:12 again. It clearly states the Jesus is our "great
God and Savior". There is no room for this to be interpreted
any other way. Jesus is God.
If you try to say Jesus is not God, you are
then faced with having to say parts of the Bible are not true. That
means you have given up Christianity, and you now are picking and
choosing what YOU want to believe. You are putting YOURSELF above
God, to judge which parts of God's word is true or false--based
on YOUR human wisdom. You are creating your own religion--breaking
the first of the Ten Commandments.
Jesus is God.
There is no way around this fact. The question
now becomes: Jesus is God--how are you going to deal with this?
Are you going to listen to what he is telling
you? This is the creator of the universe that we're talking about,
who has power far beyond anything you can imagine. Is this someone
you want to ignore?
Jesus is God.
Jesus loves you more than you can believe.
The almighty God, creator of the universe, loves you personally.
How are you going to respond? Are you going to turn your back on
someone who has such a great and unimaginable love for you?
How are you going to respond?
