Atheism

Beginning of Life
Where Did
Life Come From?
Did life form
naturally arising from available materials?
If we are going
to look at this scientifically, we need to examine the evidence.
What evidence is there that life can into existence naturally?
None. There
is no evidence that supports this theory.
If you believe
that life can into existence naturally, that belief is based on
pure blind faith.
If you know
of any scientific evidence showing that life arose naturally, please
contact us. We do seek the truth and would be happy to include
such evidence here.
Experiments
have been run trying to"duplicate" the conditions thought
to have lead to the formation of life. Some experiments have created
amino acids (although not the kind found in life), but none have
created life. And amino acids are just chemical compounds, they
are not life.
You will read
in some publications that Darwin was right, life evolved naturally
from non-life. But, is this true? A recent issue of National Geographic
had a 33-page cover story on this topic. If you'd like to read the
answer to that article, it's available here: National
Geographic is wrong and so was Darwin
By the way,
do you know the full title of Darwin's book? It is: "Origin
of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of
Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life". Is there a hint
of racism in this title? Yes, the belief in the natural creation
of life and evolution is the foundation of racism. But that's a
topic we'll cover elsewhere.
The
81-year-old well-known British professor of philosophy, Anthony
Flew, who was a leading atheist until 2004 when he became a theist
(he now believes in the existance of God), said:
- "Biologists'
investigation of DNA has shown, by the almost unbelievable complexity
of the arrangements which are needed to produce [life], that intelligence
must have been involved." (1)
- "It
has become inordinately difficult even to begin to think about
constructing a naturalistic theory of the evolution of that first
reproducing organism." (2)
- "I have been persuaded that
it is simply out of the question that the first living matter
evolved out of dead matter and then developed into an extraordinarily
complicated creature." (3)
Believing in the natural formation of life
is a blind faith.
You can either
have blind faith that life came about naturally, or you can take
the word of an eye witness who was there when life was created.
