"I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, 'You Shall Not Covet'." - Romans 7:7 (NASB)

The Ten Commandments are like a mirror. They allow us to see we really are sinners. We have not lived in obedience to God.

"Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith." - Galatians 3:24 (NASB)

The Ten Commandments were given to us so that we will know we are sinners. They lead us to the knownledge that we need a savior... that we need Jesus Christ.

Feel free to use the Ten Commandments to help poeople see they are a sinner in need of a savior.
